It’s a known fact that Thomas Edison, the world famous American Inventor, failed 10,000 times. After 5,000 failed experiments, his laboratory attendant said to him; “Mr. Edison, we have failed 5,000 times, shouldn’t we stop?” Mr. Edison replied; “Son, we have not failed 5,000 times, we have only discovered 5,000 ways in which it cannot work. We are closer to the solution now than when we started.”

Success is the achievement of predetermined goals. But how do you respond when things do not go the way you planned? Do you feel discouraged, depressed and sad? To succeed, don’t quit. However, our knowledge of success cannot be complete without knowing how to handle failure.

Successful people don’t frown on failure but sees it as a stepping stone to achieving their set goals. Don’t be afraid to fail. Success will not come without you taking a risk. A key thing to note is that failure is usually a sign that you need to change something. If things are not working, something is out of place. Start that business and be focused. Start small because small is relative.

Success by strategy

Let us draw another lesson from the scriptures. When Jesus spoke about the construction of a house and about warfare, he outlined the important of strategy in creating an effective plan which leads to success.

He said you have to sit down first and consult, to see if you would be able to achieve your goal with the resources at your disposal. He said that without such plan, it would be easy for one to be stranded right in the middle of a project. If you do not win on paper you have little chances of winning at the battle front. Develop the ability to write things down. Develop the ability to master details.

You do not make much progress in life if you do not have mastery of details. If in the past one week you do not have on record how you spend your money, this could be part of the reason you are not making as much progress as you probably desire. You must have a plan. It is not just enough to say, "Next year, I will achieve this." The big question is what will you achieve and how? You must sit down to crack out a strategy. While praying to God, get ready for a revelation because God gives us winning strategies.

Plan through organized thinking-sam adeyemi

Lack of planning is a major reason for failure. Sitting down to plan is the key to success. Dr. Robert H. Schuller said he discovered the most people fail not because they planned to fail but because they failed to plan.

When you have discovered the secret of wealth building, you would realise that the major key to making money is planning. If you want to earn a million, but you do not have a plan, you may have only just a wish. You need to stop wishing and start planning and acting on your plans.

Sometimes, it is tough talking to Christians about planning. If you engage in planning and a lot of calculating, and you design a step by step approach to the accomplishment of your goals, some wonder if that agrees with faith. They feel that it is too logical. However, what they do not realise is that there is a powerful connection between faith and planning. The scriptures say; "Write the vision and make it plain on tablet, that he may run who read it... But the just shall live by his faith." The message is about faith, and it includes writing down your goals and plans.

Planning is the key to success.

Plan to succeed-Sam Adeyemi

Most people miss opportunities in life because they are not prepared. There is nobody who lacks opportunity; you only have people who do not recognize opportunities. Opportunity comes but once they say, the good news is, opportunity is always coming only the prepared sees it

You will never recognize something that you do not know. It is when you know how it looks that you recognize it. Recognition is simply an agreement between what you see outside with the picture you have in your mind.

You need to know that problems and opportunities are a function of your interpretation. In life, what makes one person poor makes the other rich; what makes one person fail makes the other person successful and some supper successful. It depends on how prepared you are. While the tenant cries and complains of high rent in the city, the landlord is elated and feels content and some are managing their way to be landlords. It all depends on how you see things.

The christian has the mind of Christ. Where others see death, the mind of Christ in the believer sees the resurrection. Where others see sickness, we see health. Where others see scarcity and lack (what I call not-enough mentality), like Christ, we see abundance.

 Success comes from deliberate action. Planning gives you a better chance of winning.

Step by step for success- Sam Adeyemi

How do you plan for success? First, you decide what you want. The starting point for planning is decision. Also, if you receive an instruction from God, that becomes your starting point.

Decide exactly what it is you want to achieve and be focus, holding tight to your dream. "I am going to start a business; I want to get married." Whatever it is, decide on a definite goal.

Then give it a deadline. Some people have plans goals or ideas, but they have not decided exactly when they want to get them accomplished. For as long as you are vague or you have an open ended goal, uncertain and unsure of exactly what you want, or when you want to get it, you are likely not to get it.

Next, write down your goals. This is paramount. Without goals, success is impossible. Can you imagine a football match where there are no goalposts? You may be the world's best player of the year; if there are no goalposts, you will not score any goal.

Then, you need to develop a detailed plan for its achievement. You may not hit it dead on target always. Sometimes, you achieve more than you wrote down; at other times you achieve a little less. But the plain truth is, once you set a goal and you write it down, and you take practical steps, there is a way it pulls you toward itself. Nothing becomes dynamic until it becomes specific.

Accurate planning-Sam Adeyemi

Success does not come by accident. Success is almost always the result of definite and accurate planning. How important are the items on our list.

Two words come to us forcefully in the process of listing priorities in the use of time. They are the words URGENT and IMPORTANT. These two words divide our list of things to do into four groups.

The first group: urgent and important things such as failing health, projects with deadlines and crisis in general. We must act on the items in this group. If we plan and act early enough, we can prevent many crises in our careers, homes or our health.

The second group: urgent but not important. These items demand immediate attention. Some phone calls fall into this category. And the discussion may not be as vital as the job at hand.

The third group: not urgent but important. If we spend most of our time on items in this group, we will live effective lives. The activities here include our spiritual lives; prevention and maintenance activities come in here.

If we desire to spend our days accomplishing worthwhile things, we must learn to say "NO" to many of the things that seek to grab our attention every day.

We must cut down on trivialities and concentrate on things that will move us forward.

Dear friend, everyday of your life will count. Your successful days will become successful years. And your successful years will add up to a successful lifetime.

PLAN YOUR DAY- SAM ADEYEMI

Taking courageous step is key but those step must be planned for and strictly adhere to.

It is amazing, sometimes, how quickly the day goes. Suddenly, and before we know it, our time is up. Then we are awakened to the painful realization that we have achieved nothing meaningful while we had time. How sad.

Charles Schwab, the first American to earn one-million dollars a year salary wanted to know how to increase the productivity of executives in his company. He turned to Mr. Ivy Lee, a business consultant, who gave him this advice: "Take a pad of paper, this evening Mr. Schwab, and list the most urgent projects which confront you. Then study the list and number them: assigning number one to the most important job, number two to the next most vital, and so on.

Beginning tomorrow, tackle number one and stay with it until it is finished before you move to number two. Work down on the list. When the day is through, prepare a new list, again assigning top priority to the most important task still undone and so on down the list. Do this every day and after you discover how well it works, share it with your people."

What is it you want to achieve, write it down, follow it through and believe in what you are doing then sky is your starting point if you fear not.

A few weeks later, Charles Schwab sent a cheque to Ivy Lee for twenty-five thousand dollars. And we know why.

To get the best, plan your day. Have a list of things to do, and arrange them in other of priority.

Start this today, and you are likely to get the best out of tomorrow. Write down all the things you want to do tomorrow, today in their other of priority. And when tomorrow comes, pick item one first and stay with it until you finish it.

Do this for a few days, and you will notice that a sence of fulfilment will come into your heart. Fulfillment is the mark of success. It is fulfilling to know that you are doing something meaningful with your life.

Finally pray before you writting your list, ask God for wisdom. And after you have made your list, ask God for guidance and favour. We should make plans, counting on God to help us.

Success week-sam adeyemi

This is a new initiative for the public and my readers. I will summarize all success blog for the week.

Success is a thing of the heart, meaning it starts from the within and that why Bible says has a man thinks in his heart so is he. Its funny that people wants some things without winning it in the heart. Have a dream and believe in it. Your success starts from within so look inward and believe in what you see. The equation for this paragraph is dream=success.

The best dreamers are babies so let's go their world and have a great dream. We let go of those dreams because we have seen reality that we believe is real which is not but take a step further and act on the dream. We must know when to snap out of our dream and make it real. Having a plan written down is the step of action. Do you know what? The first contact your dream has in the physical world is when you write it down. Acting on ones dream leads to success. A word of caution. One action is not enough at times but consistency can do the job for you. We are adding action to our equation and it does look like this

We ended the above paragraph with consistence action and this needed courage to fuel it. Don't give up on your dream. Some people don't act on their dreams because they fear what people will say or they fear to fail. Come to think of it, two things are involved when you act on your dream. Is either you succeed or fail. So why do you think more of fear? What if you succeed do you think people won't talk. They will but in a different way. You are better off to try and fail then not to try at all and that those not make you a failure. That's failure as a event and not as a person, so why not give it a plan b or plan c or even d. Be strong and courageous- Sam Adeyemi

Yesterday i blogged on action that leads to success. At times or most of the times your one action will not lead to success automatically but the action needs a consistency and to have success in such situation you have to be courageous and don't give up on your action.

There is a time to dream, but you must know when to snap out of your dreams and turn your dreams into reality.

In the beginning of the year, some people do say, "it is just the beginning of the year," as if it is not time yet to do anything. But you see, success is not for sissies, the lily-livered or the fearful. You need courage to take action.

God said to Joshua over and over again in the bible, "Be strong and of good courage." Courage is simply acting in the presence of fear. If you take fear out, courage loses its definition. In other words, it is the presence of fear that makes courage necessary.

For example, I do not need courage to kill mosquito or cockroach. I think there are some who are afraid of cockroaches through. Such people surely need courage to kill a cockroach! What are you afraid of? Do what you fear

The  point is your achievement may not be significant until you are doing things which sometimes create doubt or fear in your heart.

Whatever you plan to do, the time to make things happen is now. Act with courage!

So we can change our yesterday equation to dream+courageous action= success.

Real success- Sam Adeyemi

Real success is what every body wants and taking actions is the key to do that. Dream + Action= success. walk throug your dream and achieve your goal.

A. L. Williams, an insurance magnet says "Do not spend your life just dreaming about 'doing it.' A lot of people will try to 'do it.' A lot of people will want to 'do it.' A lot of people will almost 'do it.' But winners will 'do it.' They do what ever it takes to get the job done."

It is good for yours to dream of accomplishing great things in life. But we must know when to snap out of those dreams and turn them into realities. One of Newton's laws of motion says that; " All objects remain at a state of rest until a force is applies."
In other words, nothing moves until we moves it. No wonder someone said, "Do not wait for you ship to com it, swim out to meet it."

Of course, the one thing that stands between us and a bold action is FEAR. Fear paralysis initiative and creates imaginary difficulties. In fact, someone described fear as FALSE EVIDENCE APPEARING REAL.

Most of the things we fear are things that will never happen. We must be bold. We must take risks. The greatest risk in life is not to take a risk.

Make up your mind today to try again, and again, and again until it works out. I pray that your pursuit works out well for you.

Success is a matter of the heart- sam adeyemi

I have learnt that success begins from the inside out. I have also discovered that what causes frustration for most people is that they try to get outward visible things without getting them first on the inside. How I wish they understand how this world was designed to run! For as he thinks in his heart, so is he. This means that whatever will happen on this earth has been designed to happen first in the heart of man. Your life will literally reflect the state of your heart. So, it is all a matter of the heart. This is why the famous wise king, Solomon, enjoins us to keep our heart with all diligence. Do this and you have got the hardest work done; for out of your heart, king Solomon says, spring the issues of life. Your state on the earth is a direct reflection of the state of your heart. People want to get an amount of money on the outside that they have not gotten on the inside. People want to rise to levels in life on the outside that they have not risen to on the inside. They are trying to break a law. You need a force that is stronger than the force of gravity to make something go up and not come down. It is tiring and frustrating going this route. So when a person tries to succeed while working against a law of nature, he will have to exert tremendous energy and power to be able to work against a law. You are designed to grow from the inside out. When you change your thinking your change your life. It is time! Good morning.
